Like you, I have worked through many of the things life throws at us. Having been in high tech for twenty years, and having several companies close shop, I understand the challenges of keeping fully employed.
Having helped raise four daughters, I understand the college saving and loan challenges.
Caring for elderly parents is not something that was ever on my radar but as a family, we addressed that issue. Saving for a house or retirement saving, dealing with family health issues, dealing with employment issues, are all in our life experience.
